Photocopies of newspaper articles (1941-1943) concerning the deaths of brothers Leroy, Malcolm, and Randolph Barber, New London, Wisconsin residents who served in the Navy as firemen and were killed when the USS Oklahoma capsized during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The three brothers joined the Navy together in 1940 and, as an exception made by the Navy, were all allowed to serve on the Oklahoma together. Included are articles containing background information on the brothers' service in the Navy, a memorial poem, christening of the U.S.S. Barber that was named after the three brothers, and an article about a younger brother, Clayton, enlisting in the Navy in 1943. Also included are photographs from the newspaper of the three brothers, their mother Mrs. Peter Barber, and the younger brother Clayton.
